About Us

About us

We're a York decking business. We like old houses, we're patient with tricky access and we take care to protect the buildings we work on.

In brief

We design and build composite and hardwood decks, raised decks, balustrades and lighting, and replace tired decks, across York and its villages. We plan around terraced access, keep decks clear of old brickwork and flag heritage questions early. Visits and written quotes are free, and you deal with the same team throughout.

Working with York's houses

York has an extraordinary range of homes: Georgian townhouses, Victorian terraces, 1930s semis and modern village houses. We enjoy working with all of them, and we take particular care with older buildings. That means protecting soft brickwork, never bridging the damp-proof course and choosing materials that suit the house.

Practical and tidy

Getting materials into a York terrace takes planning. We protect floors and doorways, cut outside, keep noise sensible for close neighbours and tidy up each day.

How a job runs

We visit, measure and talk through options. Then we send a written, itemised quote that flags anything that might need the council's view. When you're ready, we agree dates and keep you informed throughout.

Only decking

We focus entirely on decks and don't build patios, fences or extensions.
